Presentation of Albanian Centre for Energy Regulation and Conservation - ACERC

Acerc is a think tank centre with a focus on the Albania energy market and its integration in Regional & IEM. The Acerc mission based on the in-depth knowledge of EU and Regional Energy Law and Policy and strives to provide aqualified contribution to the promotion of the liberalization and effective integration as well as efficient use of energy resources.

Acerc main activities consists in build-up collaboration and support to market players in the market researches such as the release of reports, articles and periodicals. Activity accompanied with the offering of the support in capacity building through national and regional seminars, trainings and conferences. Initiatives aims to enable in advocating in the energy sector promoting a forum called in Albanian School of Regulation.

Tirana Expo Centre in cooperation with the Ministry of Energy and Industry, organize from 23 until 25 of October 2015 the “Energy and Construction” Trade Fair, following the First Edition of the “Energy, Challenge of the future “.

In the 21st century Albania, global warming threat, the growing awareness of environmental protection, the limited sources of fossil energy, the need for revival in the construction industry, the increasing capacity to promote energy
efficiency are some of the main issues in Energy and Construction Industry.

The resolution of these problems is not achieved by producing more or limiting investment in local dimensions, but by spending less energy through efficient methods and by interacting on a regional level, to stimulate a sector in crisis such as construction.

The International Trade Fair of Energy and Construction aims to promote local industry and enhance regional interactivity by providing in a joint environment the adduction of challenges and problems, but also solutions through bilateral meetings, conducting principal negotiations and stimulating regional and institutional interaction in accordance with the expectations of participating companies.

Businesses and professionals in the Energy and Construction sectors, have all the reasons to be present in a profiled regional fair, the only one of its kind that promotes in a completely professional environment the entire industry chain focusing on two principal cornerstones: construction and energy.

Acerc participate at 4th edition of the Balkans Oil & Gas Summit to take place on 23-24th October in Athens

With the Official Support and Endorsement from all Balkans Governments, the 4th Balkans Oil & Gas Summit is a flagship event held by the global summits organiser, IRN, on yearly since September 2012.

This year, IRN will host a Black Sea focused Workshop on the third day of the Summit and an Adriatic Sea workshop, on the geology of offshore Black Sea and Adriatic Sea countries, and latest development plans connecting with the current and upcoming licensing rounds.

IRN has established close relations with regional stakeholders over the past few years, and as a result, host this important Summit as the platform where regional Governments meet with key oil and gas players, sharing updates on developments, discussing industry feedback, establishing key relationships and setting the grounds to do more business.

Last year’s Summit included important announcements, a press conference held the day before the Summit on the developments in the region; 300 delegates and 70 IOCs attending, and a Workshop on the Adriatic Sea led by Spectrum and the Montenegrin Ministry of Economy. Major oil and gas companies operating in Greece, Albania, Croatia, Montenegro, Bosnia-Herzegovina, Romania and Bulgaria were present last year to meet in a 5* venue and discuss the region with peers and Officials.

Hellenic Petroleum, Bankers Petroleum, Weatherford, Spectrum and Aggreko were amongst the sponsors last year while delegates came from every national and international oil and gas company operating in the region, including those also looking to get involved. Edison, Gazprom, Shell, Wintershall, Zeta Petroleum, BG Group, DEPA, Bulgartansgaz, INA, ExxonMobil, Petromanas, Repsol, Statoil, Sonatrach, SOCAR, Plinacro, Marathon Oil, Romgaz and San Leon are amongst those who attended.
